Birding in Guyana by Waldyke (Wally) Prince
Outline of the unique birding opportunities in Guyana including endemic species and “must-sees”.
Veteran local bird-guide and wildlife biologist, Wally Prince will outline the details of birding tourism in Guyana. With close to 900 species of birds in the country, including 284 in Georgetown, Guyana offers birders some of the finest birding in South America, with a spectacular selection of rare and not-so-well-known species – with many of them being endemic to this country.
During his thought-provoking talk, Wally will discuss the challenges and opportunities arising from such a high species richness as well as will exclusively share his stories collected over the years of leading expeditions of professional birders, documentary teams and scientific research.
This recording will be available on Friday 21st August and for 3 months afterwards.
